Unpopular Opinion: ICarly was and continues to be Superior to Victorious

Victorious and ICarly are two iconic Nickelodeon shows that we all enjoyed as kids, growing up in the 2010's. Now these and other Nickelodeon shows have been put on various streaming services, and a lot of us have began rewatching the shows we used to wait for after school, the things we were most excited to see once we got off of the bus, not our parents, not our friends, not our dogs, but Nickelodeon shows. At the time, my two personal favorites were ICarly and Victorious. Upon some review of the two I've come to the conclusion that one quite obviously trumps the other, and I'll give you a hint, it's not Victorious. Let me preface that the acting was horrible in both, the first 2-3 seasons of both shows are painful to watch. But, focusing on the characters and their contribution to the plot ICarly is clearly superior. The basic character breakdown of every Nickelodeon  show is a slightly annoying but overall lovable main character, a comedic relief bestfriend of the main character, a third friend who's funny sometimes but just kind of there and some sort of funny older character. Following that order, ICarly had Carly who fits the above description perfectly, Sam who easily surpasses the amount funniness that that character has to possess, Freddie who is hopelessly in love with Carly, watching him swoon after her was the funny part but I will admit also a tad bit sad, and Spencer, Carly's quirky older brother who is also way funnier than he has to be. Now lets dive into the train wreck that was Victorious. Following that same order, you have Tori who is way more annoying than necessary and I find very difficult even be likable, much less lovable, and her posse. Rather than ICarly's group of three that perfectly fits the Nickelodeon show format, Tori has a gang of five that the writers all tried to shove into the "comedic relief " category. Cat is supposed to be an airhead, which just ends up being annoying, Robbie is a ventriloquist who's doll bullies him, which is honestly just sad, Jade is mean which I will admit makes the show a touch more interesting but then you have Andre and Beck who are just normal, but don't add much to the already failing show. Not to mention, Tori's somehow more annoying older sister, Trina who is just painfully unfunny. Victorious does have the funny older character, Sikowitz, their drama teacher but in all honesty he's just kind of weird. Also ICarly had many more guest stars such One Direction, Michelle Obama, Jack Black, and Emma Stone just to name a few. Victorious' most notable guest star was Jerry Trainor, who plays Carly's brother Spencer on ICarly. If you are feeling nostalgic about your Nickelodeon days, watch ICarly for a good laugh and Victorious if you'd like to be sorely disappointed.
