Unpopular Opinion: Online School Isn't That Bad - Liam Gallagher

As we finally move towards going back to school in full, some people can't wait to stop online schooling. In my opinion, though, online schooling wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be, and in some ways, I like it better. Being able to do things like sit on the couch in class or wake up over an hour later than usual is so much better and made school feel a bit easier. Having this ability to come to class well-rested and comfortable has also made focusing in some classes less of a stretch and much more manageable. On the flip side, though, there have still been some drawbacks to being online for so long,

As easy as it made some classes seem, there were also classes that had the opposite effect as you lost the ability to communicate with your teacher in-person, one on one. In classes like Math, you may have a question but now you don't want to ask in front of the meet or in Science where you no longer can do any labs or experiments. It definitely made this sort of communication between teacher and student much harder, but, for those who figured out how to reach out to their teachers in another way that still worked for them, it was just a small drawback. The overall increase in flexibility and comfort that came with online school easily outweighs this con, but, with school slowly returning back to form, it will soon be back to business as usual.

  1. I agree, being able to do school from home is more comfortable and sleeping in for an extra hour is a huge plus.

  2. The extra sleep is probably the biggest benefit of online schooling! We're all going to feel very tired soon!
