The Worst Moments of my Life, But Put in Perspective- Ava Mazzarella

A lot of people chose to write about positive things that take importance in their lives. The best things life has to offer: music, friends, family, happy memories, and so much more. And experiencing the happy moments are incredibly important to us, as they make us appreciate how great our lives really are.

But not a lot of people choose to focus on the negative side of life. Although it's good not to dwell on the worst moments in life, it's these moments that essentially shape us into the people that we're meant to be. And it's not a common thing that people talk about, which is why I've decided to write about why the bad moments of life mean just as much to me as the good moments do.

Our darkest moments could be the most important ones. Even when we have no idea how God is going to tie in the lesson to this situation, we end up learning so much from bad times in our life. You learn something from going through a breakup or losing a friend. You learn something from having an injury or an illness. And we learn something from experiencing negative emotions, like loneliness, comparison, embarrassment, fear, and rejection? So, we must ask ourselves: What we can possibly take away from the bad days?

Bad days will instill gratitude in you and force you to appreciate the little things. It's hard to ever see anything to be grateful for in these moments, which is why choosing gratitude can pull us out of our funks. Whether you're thankful for the morning cup of coffee, the heated seats in your car, or just to be alive and breathing, gratitude can only refresh your understanding of life.

Hitting our lowest points makes achieving the highest ones even better. If our lives were constantly perfect, we wouldn't know how to appreciate the best moments. Because then our best moments would just be considered normal. And with this, I've learned that having low moments is even more normal than having high moments. Everyone has bad days. Nobody's got life all figured out. But it's the people who are able to recognize, embrace, and move on from the low times who are most successful in life. Life doesn't stop on our darkest days, which is a beautiful thing.

Yes, our bad days may be the most important days in our lives. They're a blessing in disguise. It's these days that motivate us to grow and prosper. We all have bad days in our lives. But it's what we do with them and how we choose to respond that counts.

  2. I think this is really true. I've had some horrible things happen in my life and each one has taught me something positive.
