What is a hero? - Ella Collins

 Everyone has a different hero. And as you grow up, your heros change. When you were younger your hero was most likley a superhero like superman or a different character from a T.V show. Mine was Dora the Explorer.  Your hero is someone that you look up to and those are the people that you look up to when your younger. However, as you get older, parents, teachers, older siblings, or coaches become your heros. Mine is my mom. She has taught me so much and always been there for me. Your heros tend to give guidance and support to you. 

    This year has made all of us re-evaluate what a hero is. Healthcare workers are now considered heros for all of their hardwork throughout this pandemic. Police officers, fire fighters, and doctors are all other examples of heros. They put themselves in harms way in order to protect others. They are all self-less and courageous which are qualities that people look for in heros. Everyone has their own hero and maybe they are someone else's hero.
