People in our town constantly rave about how delicious Chick-fil-A is, and how they wish there was one closer to Sparta. I have had Chick-fil-A on many occasions, I have had different orders, I have had it in many states, and I still cannot process how people think it is so good. Chick-fil-A does not live up to the hype surrounding it.
The only aspect that I actually find appealing is the sauce. The Chick-fil-A sauce is fantastic, but everything else is so-so. The closest one to Sparta is in Morris Planes, and I don't think the thirty-minute drive is worth it. First, that is at least an hour of your time to simply go get average fast food. Secondly, the gas used and the money to replenish it are not worth it. And lastly, even when you arrive, there is usually a huge line - last time I was there I think I waited forty-five minutes - and I think that the time waiting could be used more effectively.
I think that Sparta over-hypes Chick-fil-A because it is not something that many people in our town eat often. If we had a Chick-fil-A in Sparta, people would be a lot less likely to go on a rant about how good it is. Like when Playa Bowls first became big. Everyone in town would drive to Denville or even further just to go to Playa Bowls. Once we got one in Sparta, the hype surrounding it eventually died down. It was busy during the first few months it was open, but business died down once the excitement surrounding it disappeared, and they eventually closed because they did not have enough business. A new Playa opened in Sparta, but unlike last time, there wasn't really any major excitement surrounding it. People were excited that they would have the convenience of having one in town again, but there was no major talk of it around town. Chick-fil-A is seen as amazing in our town because it is not convenient. In areas with a Chick-fil-A, you never hear people casually talk about how outstanding it is, because they have easy access to it.
Chick-fil-A is completely overrated. The obsession in our town with it is very strange, and I will never understand why people think Chick-fil-A is so amazing, when it clearly isn't anything special.
I can't imagine driving that far just for the food!
ReplyDeleteI have to strongly disagree with this. Chick-Fil-A is the only fast food I actually want to eat and has exceptional customer service. The milkshakes are above average and the food is fantastic. I do agree that it is unreasonable to drive all the way to Morris Plains to get some, but if your in the area, there is no reason not to get it. I've been in 50-70 car lines and never had to wait more than 20 minutes so its never been a hassle. If Sparta got a Chick-Fil-A, it would make a killing and I would get food there at least once every two weeks. Also, I would apply for a job as soon as I could.
ReplyDeleteChick-fil-a is my life
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU. I don't think Chick-Fil-A is any better than Wendy's, 5 Guys, or other fast food places. Maybe McDonalds or Burger King, but those one are exceptionally bad.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you! Everybody is always praising Chick-Fil-A and it really isn't that much better than other fast food chains. It's mediocre at best.
ReplyDeleteI 100% agree with you. The food is mediocre and I find it absurd that people wait hours online just to eat chicken nuggets.
