 Summer is the Best Season

Many believe that spring is the best season due to flowers blooming and the temperature rising. Some also say spring is great because they are more motivated to go outside and enjoy the warmer weather whether it is going on a walk or just eating dinner outside with family. In the spring, there is more daylight, greener grass, and blooming flowers which makes many enjoy it that much more! However, I personally believe that summer is the greatest season of them all! There are many reasons that make me believe that summer is better than the other 3 seasons, so here are a few!

1. Pools and lakes are open: Yes, going on a ski slope and going really fast is fun, but nobody likes to jump into a pile of snow and get snow all down their shirt or fall on a sheet of ice. In lakes and pools, there is nothing as refreshing as jumping into the water to cool off on a nice and hot summer day!

2. The beach is open:  There is nothing like going to the beach on a hot summer day to enjoy your summer vacation. The beach is such a nice place to relax on a hot summer day, and it is really nice to be able to take a few steps and your at the nice and blue ocean. There is so much to do at the beach including making sand castles, surfing, going through the forming waves, etc. The beach is a nice place that you could take a day trip to and have a fun time. 

3. School is out: Don't get me wrong, I like going to school and learning new things, but not having to worry about tests, grades, assignments, and many other things with school is so nice and very needed. It takes a level of stress that you have all year off of you for a few months. 

4. Friends are more available: During the school year, friends have things like sports going on, homework, and jobs which makes some unavailable a lot. In the summer, there is no school sports for the majority of it and every other season has school sports which take up a lot of time. 

5. Vacations: Summer is so amazing because you have the ability to go on vacations whenever you want. If you want to go to somewhere close to the beach for a few days, you can easily plan that a couple days ahead instead of months ahead. Other seasons are when school is, and the only time you are off of school is the weekends and on seasonal breaks so it isn't very often and isn't as long as summer break. Vacations are easier to plan in the summer because there isn't much activity that limits peoples schedules.  

6: My Birthday: In August is my birthday. I especially like the summer for that reason because I get to look forward to that. Especially this year since I am getting my license, I am very eager to get it and it makes me want summer to come that much quicker so I can have the freedom to go wherever I want, especially to my friends houses.  

Clearly, summer is the superior season even if it may not be a popular opinion. These 6 reasons are only a few of the reasons why summer is so fun and greater than every other month.
