It's no secret I love Chipotle, but for good reason. Chipotle has amazing food, moral values as a corporations, great social media presence, and blows the competition out of the water.
Chipotle cares about the quality of their food, and the environment. They were the first national restaurant brand to commit to using only responsibly raised meat, and only buys from farms with high animal welfare standards. Chipotle has even committed to divert 50% of their waste from landfills during 2020. They also began a "gloves to bags" recycling program where they take their plastic gloves used during shifts and recycled them into plastic bags which are currently being used in 43% of their restaurants. Chipotle also has takeout bowls, utensils, straws, and napkins that are 100% COMPOSTABLE! Which is absolutely amazing, and I really feel that Chipotle is leading by example in regards to how a company can help the environment, even in small ways.
I also appreciate the fact that Chipotle allows you to track how you are helping the environment when you buy from them instead of other places that use conventional ingredients. They track things such as "Less Carbon in the Atmosphere," "Supported Organic Land," "Antibiotics Avoided," "Gallons of Water Saved," and "Improved Soil Health." I appreciate the transparency from them, I think its very refreshing compared to other companies that are using poor practices in their restaurants. Chipotle also appeals to many different dietary needs including: Vegetarian, Vegan, Whole30, Keto, and Paleo.
Now, lets talk about Chipotle's competitors. Moes, Qdoba, and locally, Bubakoos, are not even remotely on the same level as Chipotle. Lets be honest, Moes is a joke. Their food is inconsistent. That's what I appreciate about Chiptole so much, their consistency in each location. Qdoba. Everyone talks a big game about Qdoba. But it just isn't good either. Their rice has absolutely no taste, their steak tastes more like grease than meat. Their chips. THEIR CHIPS. Their chips taste like stale oil consistently. Once again, there just isn't a comparison to be made here, Chipotle is just better. Now locally, we do have a Bubakoos. I went their recently and it wasn't a good experience. There was genuinely a poor of grease at the bottom of my bowl, and after eating it, my stomach could feel it too.
The quality of other locations just doesn't compare to the high standards that Chipotle is able to maintain. Let's just be honest. Chipotle is the best, and nothing compares. If you think differently, your opinion is wrong.
I absolutely love chipotle. My order is a burrito :brown rice, black beans, guac, tofu and lettuce. I wish we had a chipotle in town because I agree, we cannot compare Chipotle to the other Mexican grill options.
ReplyDeleteI have NEVER been to Chipotle, but maybe I have to try it! I love all the recycling they do!
