The world disappears
All that’s left is my fears
Watch them wash me away
Watch them force me to stay
Watch me scream in pain
Watch it be in vain
Cause the darkness and the shadows is all that is left in this world
The people are gone
All that’s left is a song
Floating through the air
Like it doesn’t have a care
And the music’s red
And the voices dead
Cause pain and torture is all that is left in the end
My screams and pain
The blood in my veins
They’re all I have left
In this world that I dread
They prove I’m alive
They show I survived
They prove I haven’t died
Got these scars on my face
Feel like such a disgrace
Watch my blood drip down
Watch me start to drown
Listen to my begs
The pounding in my head
Cause pain isn’t torture if it’s all that is left in the end
I’ve made some mistakes
But now they’ve raised all the stakes
I’m standing here today
And I’m trying to stay
And I’m so alone
That fact’s well known
Cause I’m all that’s left in this world that is made from their dread
My screams and pain
The blood in my veins
They’re all I have left
In this world that I dread
They prove I’m alive
They show I survive
They prove I’ve yet to die
My family’s left
My friends too, I’m stressed
I watched their faces
As they fell in their places
And my love is gone
They begged me to live on
Cause they are too good to live in this world they would dread
My screams and pain
As blood flows from my veins
Couldn’t take it anymore
Please open that door
I didn’t want to die
But I can’t survive
Without them by my side
This was a really interesting and intriguing poem! It was very powerful and I couldn't stop reading it! Good job!
ReplyDeleteThis poem has such a powerful tone. It's important to remember not to take those around you for granted (especially now, when you can hardly see most of them). Well done, as always. :)
ReplyDeleteThis poem is haunting and reminds me of song lyrics since there is somewhat of a refrain.
