Best week of my life- Happiness (Leah Moore)

For one week out of my whole year, I am happy 24/7. We all experience happiness in little doses, whether it comes from seeing friends or watching a Tv show. Happiness for me comes with going to LBI.

Happiness is running into the 67-degree water, not giving a care in the world with our feet going numb from the coldness. My friends and I spend hours upon hours having the waves crash over us and washing up on the sand. Our parents question why we think getting all pruney is fun, but we live for it.

Happiness is staying out until one am on the beach and running the risk of staying out past curfews. We sit and laugh for hours about random stuff until our stomachs hurt.

Happiness is eating everything in sight and having ice cream, fries, and shrimp for diner seven days in a row. We will ride our bikes 20 blocks if it means having Wawa for lunch.

Happiness is listening to the same ten songs on repeat for a day because we love how they make us feel. I am truly living in the moment, not caring about anything at all. Blasting music on the beach with my best friends and dancing is something I will hold onto forever.

Happiness is having dance parties at 2 pm or 12 am. There are no rules to when you can and can't dance down the shore.

Happiness is feeling our skin burnt, but we can't waste a second by putting on sunscreen; that is the last thing on our minds. Our parents always yell at us, but we think that spending one minute putting on sunscreen is one minute we wasted not laughing and singing.
