The Pandemic Nobody Predicted- Dillon Caswell

The Pandemic Nobody Predicted
The virus named COVID-19 comes out of nowhere and it is affecting everything. This virus is the talk of the year and it is affecting so many things. What started as 2 weeks of online school is now almost 7 months of online school. This is crazy and I'm getting very tired of it. I run Cross Country and this virus is affecting that too, we have to wear masks right after I'm done running and I don't even get to catch my breath! I miss being able to just go to practice right after school instead of waiting an hour before it starts. All sports just got back from a 2 week suspension due to an outbreak on the Football and Girls Soccer team. The virus is a fun stealer! People can not have parties or even hang out with friends normally because of this virus.

Not to mention that coronavirus is also making people get testing if they have symptoms and the tests don't get back fast enough! This sucks because people can't go to work  until their test comes back negative. I know people who run a business and it is tough to loose one person in their staff because they don't feel good. It throws off the flow of the job. I hope all of this blows over soon so that people can get back to working regardless of this annoying virus that just haunts us in our sleep.

I have to say now, that I do like how school is online now. I didn't like it at first because there were some rough bumps in the road at the beginning, but I love it now! Even though I don't get to see my friends in class at school, I see them outside of school which actually helps a little bit when it comes to studying! This is because I don't have my attention towards talking to my friends at lunch time, but rather looking over my notes before a test. Also, I get to sit in a comfy chair all day and don't have to sit at a desk that can only fit a computer! I honestly have done a lot better with accommodating to this coronavirus school situation after I passed the rough bumps in the road.

  1. I agree that Corona is stealing all the fun. Glad you're adjusting to the online schooling.

  2. I agree that some tests do take to long to come back and it can really impact people's livelihoods and how much work they have to do when others within their company are being tested or actually have Corona.
